Canstruction 2004
Having
done well our first year, we got a bit more daring the second
time around. A 3D model of the shell was developed in Autocad and then
sliced up to dertermine the shape of the levelling template at each
"floor". Jumbo cans
of vegetables were used to support and align the templates inside the
sculpture and the outside skin was made of white sardine cans. All the
work paid off with local & national awards for structural
ingenuity. Photos of the shell were used to illustrate several articles
on Canstruction, including the cover of Games magazine
